Newburyport — Lori (Pearson) Hay, 51, of Newburyport, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Newburyport to Joseph and Sally A. (Colby) Pearson. Lori managed the Essex Street Inn, as well as Pearson Properties.
Lori was a longtime resident of Newburyport, with a love for family, friends and the ocean. She was a philanthropist with a generous spirit. Lori was an avid traveler with a passion for culture. She recently had the pleasure of visiting Alaska, Italy and Ireland with her family.
Lori is survived by her mother, Sally A. (Colby) Pearson; her husband, Timothy D. Hay; her daughters, Bianca C. Hay and her fiancé, Jonathan C. Ladd, and Natasha H. Sanborn and her husband, Brendan P. Sanborn; her great-grandmother, Alicia Colby; her aunt, Addie Pearson; her uncles, Jonathan Pearson, Timothy Pearson and his wife, Pam, and Norman Colby Jr. and his wife, Stephanie; and her cousins, Jonathan Pearson, Gregory Pearson and Kennett Colby. Lori was predeceased by her father, Joseph Pearson; her brother, Joseph Pearson; and her cousin, Jeremiah Pearson.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, May 8, at 11 a.m., in Central Congregational Church, Newburyort. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m., in Conte-Twomey-LeBlanc Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport.
