Amesbury, MA — Robert A. “Bob” Dore, 64, passed away at home on Friday, July 26, 2013, with his wife, Diane (Drew) Dore, by his side.
Bob was born in Amesbury, Mass., on September 28, 1948, and was the son of the late Linwood Russell Dore, Jr. and Rita J. (Labbe) Dore. He graduated from Amesbury High School in 1966, and went on to earn an associate degree from Northern Essex Community College. Bob recently retired from MBRAUN in Stratham, N.H.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, of nearly 44 years; his son, Derek Dore and wife, Kristen, and their children Brady, Lucy, and Ty, of Amesbury; and his son, David Dore and wife, Jaime, and their children Grayson and Sydney, of South Dartmouth, Mass.; a sister, Lynn (Dore) Boutin and her husband, Romeo “Sonny” Boutin of Amesbury; and many nieces and nephews.
Fondly known to them as “Bumpa,” Bob was passionate about spending time with his five grandchildren and could frequently be seen on the sideline of their many sporting events.
He also enjoyed his annual trip to Aruba with his wife and friends, and the couple’s regular overnight visits at his son, David’s home.
ARRANGEMENTS: The visitation will be held at the Highland Street Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, on Tuesday, July 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services at the funeral home will be Wednesday, July 31, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
