Shana Rose Kezer

Newburyport, MA — Shana Rose Kezer, 28, died unexpected Monday morning at her home in Newburyport.

Born in Newburyport, September 4, 1984, she was the beloved daughter of Albert L. Kezer, III of Newburyport and Julie Lamothe of Florida and had attended Triton Regional High School and Lincoln Technical Institute, receiving her degree as a Medical Assistant. She was working as a Personal Care Attendant with Northeast. Arc.

Shana attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Amesbury along with her family. She was totally devoted to her daughter, Grace, who meant the world to her. She loved taking her to the park or to the library for “story time.” Shana was very kind and loving to everyone she met, and would go out of her way to help both family and friends. Shana had a vivacious and caring spirit which showed in so many ways, especially with Grace. She cherished family gatherings where she would act as the hostess, making sure all felt welcomed and were well taken care of.

Her laughter and infectious smile will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents and her daughter, Grace, she is survived by her brothers, Andrew MacBurnie of Byfield and Joshua Cahoon of Florida; her paternal grandparents, Esther Schrempf and husband, Albert, of Amesbury; her maternal grandfather, Robert Lamothe; her cousins, Blake and Hannah Breidenbach of Amesbury, and Cally Notargiacomo of North Andover, who was her best friend growing up; her special aunt, Sharon Gauvin and husband, Mike, of Newburyport, who was always there for her and helped her through everything; uncles, Gordon Breidenbach of Amesbury and Denny Dow of Rochester, N.H.; along with many additional aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her aunts, Mary Kezer Breidenbach and Karen L. Dow, and her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Lamothe.
