Christopher Janvrin, 32

Greenland, NH — Christopher W. Janvrin, 32.

Christopher was born and raised in the South end of Newburyport, MA where he attended school throughout high school and made many lasting friendships. After high school he began working in the family businesses and also his own development company. Christopher was involved in the renovation of the Newburyport High School as a project superintendent. He was also involved in the building, developing, owning, and selling of multiple properties along the New England Eastern Board. Christopher was also involved in the EPU Generation Uprate of the largest Nuclear facility in the world, as a facilities manager, at Grand Gulf Mississippi Project.

In 2008 Christopher Janvrin met the love of his life, Sara Mae Krulis, in downtown Portsmouth. They dated for 5 years, prior to marriage in October 2012. Christopher and Sara resided in Greenland, NH on Great Bay.

Christopher was diagnosed in August of 2012 with stage 4 melanoma cancer and battled it for 18 months. On December 2, 2013, Christopher succumbed to the illness. Christopher was a great man who demonstrated love, strength, and passion throughout his entire life. He enjoyed snowboarding, golfing, hiking, kayaking, fishing, spending time on the seacoast, and being around family and friends.

Christopher was predeceased by his loving sister, Julie Ann (“Jo-Jo”) Janvrin. He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Mae Janvrin; his father, Roland Janvrin and his wife, Julie Janvrin; his mother, Joyce Collins; his sister, Shannon; brother, Tony and their families. In addition, he is survived by his two grandmothers, Barbara Janvrin of Newburyport, MA and Catherine Dillion of Vermont; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

ARRANGEMENTS: A viewing will be held at J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, located at 84 Broad St. in Portsmouth, NH. The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Greenland Community Congregational Church, located at 2 Post Rd. in Greenland, NH, with the burial immediately following.
