Framingham, MA — Elizabeth A. (Sullivan) Lawlor, 90, longtime Amesbury resident, passed peacefully Sunday afternoon at St. Patrick’s Manor Nursing Home in Framingham, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in North Andover, January 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Elizabeth (Greeley) Sullivan. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and received her associates degree from Northern Essex Community College
Mrs. Lawlor had worked as a librarian for the Town of Amesbury over 20 years, had been actively involved with St. Joseph’s Church of the Holy Family Parish in Amesbury, was a member of the Elizabeth H. Whittier Club, and was an avid bridge player.
Predeceased by her parents and her husband, Francis E. Lawlor, to whom she had been married 46 years, she leaves behind five daughters, Susan Sanders and husband, John, of Nashua, N.H., Betty Paszko of Haverhill, Ann Burek and husband, Ronald, of Northville, Mich., Mary Lawlor of Marina del Rey, Calif., and Joan O’Leary and husband, Steve, of Hopkinton; two sons, Edward Lawlor and wife, Elizabeth, of St. Louis, Mo., and John Lawlor and wife, Katherine, Blake of Waltham; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, James Sullivan and wife, Samia, of Greenville, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Barbara Sullivan of Portsmouth, R.I.; along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at the Highland Street Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, will be today, Tuesday, June 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Church of the Holy Family Parish, School Street, Amesbury, followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
