Newburyport — Norann (Terrio) Allen, 81, of Newburyport, died Wednesday morning at Amesbury Village with her loving daughters at her side.
Norann was born in Amesbury on April 12, 1932, to the late Fredrick and Mary (Callahan) Terrio. She was raised in Amesbury and attended Amesbury schools.
She was employed at several Newburyport retail stores including JJ Newberry's Mr. Grocer and O'Brien's Furniture.
Norann was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport.
The widow of the late Arthur Allen Jr., to whom she was married for fifty years, Norann is survived by her daughters, Mary Mainville and her husband, Gregory, of Amesbury and Kathryn (Katie) Hawkins and her husband, David, of Newburyport. Also among her survivors are her grandchildren, Christina Heywood and her husband, John, of Salisbury, Neil Allen of New York, Brett Allen of Plymouth, N.H., Heather and Lyndsy Allen of Florida, Justine Mainville of Providence, R.I., Ross Mainville of Salem, Mass., and Amanda Hawkins of Newburyport; and great-granddaughters, Jocelyn and Tessa Allen and Alexa Heywood; as well as her beloved kitty, Maisy; and several nieces and nephews.
Norann was predeceased by her two sons, Arthur H. Allen III and Thomas G.Allen; as well as her brothers, Michael, Justin and Owen Terrio.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, also in Newburyport.
Family and friends may call on Saturday prior to the Mass from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Twomey LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport.
