Merrimac, MA — O. Mable (Whinery) Kizirian, age 85, of Merrimac, died early Saturday morning, January 5, 2013 at Maplewood Care and Rehab Center in Amesbury. She was the beloved wife of the late Varagan Kizirian, who died in 1980.
Born in Van Buren, Arkansas, August 11, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Leonard O. and Aronia (Hudgens) Whinery and graduated from high school while living in Arkansas.
Mable enjoyed being a mother, taking care of her children, providing them love, nurturing, understanding, and strength of character. She was especially proud of her five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
Her survivors include her daughter, Cheryl J. Stiles and husband Thomas of Merrimac, son, Charles “Chuck” Kizirian and wife Diane of Northwood, NH along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several generations of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Curtis Whinery.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at the Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 36 West Main Street, Merrimac, will be Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 3 to 7 P.M. Graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford will be private for the family. Donations in her memory may be made to the Salem Animal Rescue League, 4 SARL Drive, Salem, NH 03079 or the the food pantry of the donor’s choice.
