Rita A. Belletete, 88

Amesbury. — Rita A. Belletete, a longtime resident of the Salisbury area, died Thursday at Merrimack Valley Hospice House. Born in Salisbury to the late John and Agnes (Daigle) Bolduc, she was the owner and operator of the Community Beauty Shop in Salisbury for 10 years.

Rita devoted many hours of volunteer work at Anna Jaques Hospital knitting hats for all the newborn babies. She loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Malloy, and husband, Norman, of Amesbury; son, David Belletete and his wife, Patricia, of Silverthorne, Colo.; granddaughter, Maryrita Styer and husband, Christopher, of Sandown, N.H.; grandson, Matthew Malloy of Amesbury; great-grandchildren Alivia and Owen Styer of Sandown, N.H.; her sister, Rose Downs of Salisbury; her brothers, Dan Bolduc and wife, Jackie, of Salisbury; and Paul Bolduc and wife, Patricia, of Amesbury; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alphonse and Leroy Bolduc and Rena Marshall.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass for Rita will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 10:30 a.m. in Star of the Sea Church on Beach Road in Salisbury. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Amesbury. Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., in Amesbury are Monday, Jan. 14, from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830

She was also the dear sister of the late Lois Tilton and is survived by six grandchildren. Doris was a longtime realtor serving Amesbury, Salisbury and Newburyport.
