Amesbury — Leslie F. Rudd, age 74, lifelong Amesbury resident, died Tuesday afternoon at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born in Amesbury, April 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Lewis S. and Helen A. (Austin) Rudd and was a graduate of Amesbury High School.
Mr. Rudd served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, from October 28, 1960 to October 27, 1964. He was an electronic’s technician working for Bell Labs until his retirement. “Les” loved to travel, and especially enjoyed going on cruises and has been around the world in his travels. He also enjoyed ball room dancing.
His survivors include his brothers, Edward T. Rudd and wife, Frances of Gilbert, Ariz., William L. Rudd of Salem, N.H. and David A. Rudd of Amesbury; his sister, Mary A. Judkins of Effingham, N.H.; along with two nephews, David and Bill; and three nieces, Laura, Linda and Pamela and their children.
ARRANGEMENTS: At his request, there will be no visiting hours and interment in the Friends Cemetery, Amesbury, will be private. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.
