Amesbury, MA — After a valiant 2-year battle with ovarian cancer, Jody P. LeSage lost her fight, while surrounded by her loving family on December 8, 2013.
Jody was a graduate of Amesbury High School, the town in which she and her husband, Carl Anthony “Tony” LeSage, raised their family and currently reside.
Possessing a passion for children, Jody previously worked as a special needs assistant for the Cashman Elementary School in Amesbury and a physical education teacher at the Montessori School in Newburyport, while attending Hesser College for early childhood education. In addition, Jody was a certified aerobics instructor at local fitness centers. For the past 15 years, she has been the office manager at Knight Oil, their family business in Salisbury.
First and foremost though, Jody was a devoted mother and grandmother to her three children, Kelly, Craig and Kayla, and her beloved granddaughter, Logan Grace. Jody was her children’s number one advocate and never missed a single one of their high school, or college sports games, productions, or recitals. She frequently traveled to New York City to visit her daughters, and to help care for her granddaughter, who was the light of her life.
Jody’s constant, vibrant spirit would radiate any room that she was in. All those who knew her were inspired by her selfless, loving nature.
Jody is survived by her husband, Tony LeSage; her children, Kelly LeSage-Kelly, Craig LeSage and Kayla LeSage; her son-in-law, John Kelly; and her granddaughter, Logan Grace Kelly. She also leaves behind two special nieces and a special nephew to whom she was like a mother, Stacy Krecklow, Jody Drouin and David Drouin; and her stepfather, Roscoe Finch.
Jody will be sorely missed by all those who loved and supported her and will live on in their hearts forever. As many friends and family members have stated, she is truly an angel.

Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, will be on Wednesday, December 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. Services and interment will be private for the family.
