Salisbury, MA — Winona Jones, 92, of Salisbury, MA, passed away peacefully on January 11, at the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
Formerly of Methuen, Winona was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Winona worked for the Internal Revenue Service for many years before moving to Salisbury in 1967 where she served on the Board of Registrars and worked as the assistant town clerk. She attended the United Methodist Church.
Winona was predeceased by her husband, John Paul Jones and grandson, Lee David Jones. She leaves behind two children, Paul D. Jones and his wife, Susan, and daughter, Karen Parent of Salisbury; brother, John A. Sandstrom; three grandchildren, Jennifer Turner of Sterling, Andrea Parent of Reston, VA, and Nicole Ferraro and husband, Kevin, of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Julie, Griffin and Logan.
ARRANGEMENTS: Private services are to be held at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Country Manor Nursing Home in Newburyport for the loving care they gave Winona during her stay.
