Robert C. Nealey, 69

Gloucester, MA — Robert C. Nealey, 69, of Gloucester, husband of Dorothy E. (Nadeau) Nealey, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Den Mar Rehabilitation and Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Amesbury, MA on August 3, 1943, son of the late Ernest and Rose (Dauphinais) Nealey.

Robert attended Gloucester High School. He was employed for over 20 years as a maintenance foreman at Gorton’s of Gloucester and retired in 2008 from Cape Ann Fuel Depot.

Robert enjoyed golfing, especially on his leagues at the Cape Ann Golf Club, walking the beach and driving his truck. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy E. Nealey of Gloucester; two daughters, Patricia A. Puglisi of Gloucester and April M. Blanchette and her husband Alec of Dover, NH; three grandchildren, Jennifer L. Noseworthy of Center Conway, NH, Jacqueline M. Puglisi of Seattle, WA and Brittany R. Blanchette of Dover, NH; nephews and nieces, Robert F. Bishop II of Plum Island, John E. Bishop of Red Bud, IL, Bonnie J. Bishop of Amesbury, Joseph M. Nadeau of Shreveport, LA, Stephen D. Nadeau of Gloucester and Stacey Beaulieu of Salisbury; great-nephew, Robert F. Bishop III of Newbury, MA; brother-in-law, A. Joseph Nadeau and his wife Sandra of Gloucester; cousin-in-law, Donald Beaulieu and a special thanks to his good friend, Jeff Tarr.

He was predeceased by his sister, Annette P. Bishop; cousin, Elizabeth “Betsy” Beaulieu; nephew, Kenneth A. Bishop and his aunt and uncle who raised him, Phillip L. and Marion C. Bouchie.

ARRANGEMENTS: His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church, Holy Family Parish on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

The burial will be held privately.

Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern Massachusetts, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
