NORTH HAMPTON, N.H. — Raymond W. Langmaid, 64, of North Hampton, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Salem and raised in Lynn, Danvers and Lynnfield. He graduated from Lynnfield High School, Bridgeton Academy, Bridgeton, Maine, and the University of Maine at Orono.
Ray, along with his three brothers, owned and operated Sagamore Industrial Finish Corporation in Amesbury for over 25 years. He later was employed by Maine Ornamental in Eliot, Maine, for seven years and, for the past four years, with National Grid in North Andover. A high school and college athlete, he was an avid sports fan who coached Seacoast Youth Hockey for several years.
He shared 29 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Judith (Reardon) Langmaid. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jason Turner Langmaid, Kimberley Langmaid, Carrie Trimarco and her husband James, Jessica Perkins and her husband Markus, and Hayley Langmaid; his siblings, Bruce, Michael, William, Cheryl Langmaid and Joy Smith; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of Ray's life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton.
