Seabrook, NH — Melanie R. Eaton, 65, of Seabrook, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Peabody, Mass., surrounded by her loving family.
Melanie was born in Newburyport, Mass., July 20, 1948, and was the daughter of Calvin Randall of Seabrook and the late Evelyn (Kay) Randall. She was raised in Seabrook and attended Winnacunnet High School. In her early years, she was an outstanding softball player and starred on some locally sponsored teams. She loved many things, including fast cars, music, singing, black raspberry ice cream, and the home shopping channels, but family was always first in Melanie’s life. She loved the day trips to the mountains, camping trips and the many family gatherings. Her love for family was unconditional. She was a devoted wife, a caring mother, and a beyond awesome grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She shared 41 years of marriage with her loving husband, Peter C. Eaton of Seabrook. Melanie also leaves her son, Frank Eaton and his wife, Melissa, of Rochester; her daughters, Ginger Demars and her husband, Joe, and Mindi Brandt and her husband, Joseph, all of Seabrook; her sisters, Karen Greene, Candace Dow and Sandi Pike and her husband, Neal, all of Seabrook; her grandchildren, Megan Demars and her husband, Albano Bwahama, Breann Benson and her husband, Chris, Chris Brandt, Robert Baker Jr., Angelica Brandt, Kayla Brandt, Wesley Eaton and Collin Eaton; her great-grandson, Jayden Bwahama; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Randall.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, June 5, in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home–Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private.
