ROWLEY, MA — James A. "Jim" Vachon, 49, of Rowley, passed away Thursday May 29 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, with family by his side. He was the husband of Sue (Lizotte) Vachon of Rowley.
Jim was born December 3, 1964, in Melrose to his late parents, Edmund L. and Mary (McNeil) Vachon.
He graduated high school in 1982, and earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering (EE) and a master's in EE from Boston University. Jim was employed at GE Lynn as an electrical engineer in the aviation field.
He enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and the N.E. Patriots.
He loved being at home with his family. His pastimes included spending time in the outdoors and doing carpentry.
In addition to his wife, Sue, he is survived by his siblings, two brothers, Mark and his wife, Tracy Vachon of Tewksbury, and Kenneth and his wife, Debbie Vachon of Wilmington; and a sister, Margaret Vachon and her fiance,' Charles Lusher of Tewksbury. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, June 5, at First Congregational Church, Main Street, Rowley. Burial will follow in Main Street Cemetery, Rowley. A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, from 3 to 7 p.m., at the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley.
