Newburyport — Olga Margo (Pimentel) Pierce, 87, of Newburyport, died Monday afternoon, June 30, 2014, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Olga was born in Boston on February 22, 1927, to the late Augusto Baptista and Estefania (Campos) Pimentel.
She was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School and Boston Secretarial School. Although primarily a homemaker for her husband and three children, she was employed briefly at the Boston Woven Hose Co., and more recently, at the American Orchid Society, Harvard University.
Olga is survived by her husband of 62 years, Francis S. Pierce of Newburyport; as well as her daughter, Stephanie Buchler of Plum Island in Newburyport; and her sons, Francis S. Pierce and his wife, Candy Way of Newbury, and Christopher V. Pierce, also of Plum Island. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shannon A. Keating of Boston and Amanda R. Pierce of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and step-grandchildren, Ashley L. Lilly of Newburyport, and Morgan P. Foster of Newbury.
ARRANGEMENTS: A private graveside service for immediate family will be held on Tuesday, July 8, at Evergreen Cemetery in Newbury.
