Newburyport, MA — Anna (Bichok) Knight, age 84, lifelong resident of Newburyport, died peacefully at Country Manor in Newburyport, January 21, 2014.
Born in Newburyport, May 7, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Lukash and Amelia Bichok. She was a graduate of Newburyport High School and worked at Towle Silversmiths in Newburyport until her retirement.
Predeceased by her husband, Urban Knight, she is survived by two daughters, Sandy Savage and husband Ronnie of Rowley and Linda Knight and companion Ric Littlefield of Newbury; her granddaughter, Julie Savage; two sisters, Georgia Twomey and Janet Short, both of Newburyport, along with nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by two sisters, Tina Welch and Helen Troian and her brothers, Stanley, Victor and Michael Roman.
For the past three years Anna was a resident at Salisbury Assisted Living Center, which became her extended family and where she made many friends and enjoyed the various activities, especially the piano bar, bingo and Wii bowling.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Country Manor for the compassionate care they provided Anna for the last three months of her life.
ARRANGEMENTS: A period of visitation will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport immediately followed by services at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Belleville Cemetery, Newburyport. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Residents Activities Fund at Salisbury Assisted Living Center, 19 Beach Road, Salisbury, MA 01952.
