Diane Wesolowski, 75

Amesbury, MA — Diane Wesolowski passed away peacefully on January 30, 2014. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond and Alice Keeney on December 5, 1938. She was the beloved wife of the late Karl Wesolowski. She was the devoted mother of Mike Wesolowski and wife, Barbara, Lisa Dupere and husband, David, Kim Croteau and husband, David, Cheryl Berry and husband, John; loving grandmother of Alex, Paige and Joshua Wesolowski, Sarah and Jared Dupere and Christopher, Emily, and Allyson Croteau. She also leaves behind her brother, Raymond Keeney of Annapolis, Maryland. Diane filled her time raising her children, volunteering in the community, and being an active member of the Main Street Congregational Church. She enjoyed being part of her grandchildren's lives whether it was babysitting, watching their sporting events, or teaching them how to cook. In addition to the love for her family, Diane also had a fondness for the New England Patriots and Red Sox. Diane was a kind and compassionate person who will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services for Diane will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Main Street Congregational Church, 145 Main St., in Amesbury. Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., in Amesbury are Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m.

    Peabody MA — Robert W. Cody, 74, of Hampton, N.H., and formerly of Peabody, Mass., died peacefully at his residence on Sunday, July 27, 2014, with his family at his side, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Patricia M. (Hayes) Cody and the late Carolyn J. (Newhall) Cody. He was born in East Boston on January 28, 1940, and was the son of the late Walter and Lorraine (Doyle) Cody. He was raised, educated and resided in Peabody. He later moved to Phoenix, Ariz., before moving back to Hampton 15 years ago. Bob had been a manager for Martin Liquor Distributors for many years. Later, he became a salesman for Sears Department Stores in Arizona for eight years prior to his retirement. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served in Korea before his discharge in 1964. Bob enjoyed going camping in New Hampshire and at Lake Sebago, Maine. But his favorite time was spent being with his family.

  • Raymond S. Farnell Sr., 89

    Byfield — Raymond S. Farnell Sr. 89, of Byfield, Mass., passed away on July 17, 2014, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill. Ray was born in Georgetown to the late Wallace and Helena (McKay) Farnell. Ray was a heavy equipment operator and a carpenter, and worked for many years for the Town of Georgetown Highway Department, until his retirement. On June 5, 1944, Ray joined the U.S. Army and was a decorated WWII veteran with the rank of Staff Sargent. His Army occupation was as a Communication Specialist in the European African Middle Eastern Campaign. Ray was one of the founders and Past Post Commander of the Georgetown VFW Post 7608, and was a member of the Haverhill Amvets Post. During his spare time, Ray enjoyed spending time with his family, lending a helping hand doing excavating, repairs and additions to his children's and friends' homes, when needed. He loved motorcycling, auto racing, traveling with his motor home, and boating. However, his greatest passion was being in the company of his family.

He was particularly proud of his work in the Legal Aid Department, and was a liaison for their program of matriculating former inmates into college to better their lives.
