ROWLEY,MA: — Ellen M. (Barrett) Perley, 55, of Rowley, passed away early on Sunday morning, February 9, 2014, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, after a hard fought battle with breast cancer.
Ellen was born in Newburyport on November 22, 1958,
to C. Irma (Wilson) Barrett of Rowley and the late
Daniel G. Barrett.
She attended Rowley Public Schools, graduated from
Triton Regional High School, Class of 1976, and New
Hampshire College in 1978. Ellen spent her 35-year career at Strem Chemicals, Inc. in Newburyport.
She enjoyed life, especially boating and going to the beach. Ellen entered many craft fairs, selling handmade bags and blankets to help support her children's dance endeavors. She loved to make people laugh, and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother, C. Irma, she is survived
by her lifelong friend, Daniel J. Perley of Rowley; her daughters, Danielle Perley and Nicole Perley, both of Rowley; brothers, John Barrett of Rowley, and Joseph Barrett and fiancee, Sharon St. Onge of Epping, N.H.; her sisters, Kathryn and her husband, Myles Haley of Newbury, and Barbara Barrett of Rowley; nieces and nephews, Cebastian, McKenzie, Mercedes, and Daniel Barrett, and Matthew Haley. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, February 12, at 10 a.m., in St. Mary's Church, Main Street, Rowley. Burial will follow in Main Street Cemetery, Rowley. A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley.
