Amesbury, MA — Katherine Sferrazza, formerly of Danvers, passed away unexpectedly on Monday at Beverly Hospital. She was born in Danvers, and was the daughter of the late George and Florence Oster. She was the wife of the late John L. Sferrazza, who passed away in 2010.
She was a devoted homemaker, who loved her family as well as her extended family at the Agawam Diner of Rowley, Mass., where she was a cashier for many years.
She leaves behind her two children, her son, John Sferrazza Jr. and his wife, Melissa, of Hooksett, NH; her daughter, Elaine Irvine and husband, David, of Amesbury; her granddaughters, Madison and Ella Sferrazza of Hooksett; two brothers, Richard Oster of Seabrook, N.H., and Robert Oster of Danvers; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass for Katherine will be celebrated on Saturday, February 15, at 9 a.m., in the Holy Family Parish Church, 2 School St., Amesbury, with burial to follow in Union Cemetery. Calling hours will take place this Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude's Hospital, or the Wounded Warriors Project.
