Salisbury — Paul K. Morris, 65, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, February 3, at the Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport.
He was born in East Cambridge, August 19, 1948, son of the late Mitchell and Jenny (Mickiewcz) Morris.
Paul was educated in the Arlington School System and graduated from Arlington High School, where he competed in and won an All State Championship in track.
He attended Northeastern University prior to joining the Army. While in the Army Paul was deployed to Honduras on a peace keeping mission. While there he was wounded and subsequently honorably discharged from his duties. He joined the Army Reserve after his discharge and served for an additional period of time.
Prior to being wounded, Paul loved to hike and especially enjoyed hiking Mount Washington. He was a member of the Lions Club, enjoyed the beach and was a Salisbury Boy Scout leader for many years. He was a wonderful man who would go out of his way to help others in need.
Mr. Morris was predeceased by a brother, Mitchell Morris and two sisters, Patsy Burgess and Cindy Morris.
Paul is survived by his son, Kenneth Morris of Salisbury; five siblings, Elena Lowery of Somerville, Carol Shaw of Littleton, Stanly Morris, Michael Morris of Clinton, MA, and Dianah Morris; his two ex-wives, Joanne Morris and Gail Emerson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of Paul’s life will be held Sunday, February 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. at The American Legion, 1314 Main Street, Haverhill. Arrangements are by H.L.
