Natalie G. (Merritt) Dunn

Haverhill, MA — Natalie G. (Merritt) Dunn, age 92, longtime Salisbury resident, died Tuesday afternoon, February 11, 2014, at The Oxford in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Chester Morse Dunn, who died October 14, 2007, and to whom she had been married 66 years.

Born in Plaistow, New Hampshire, August 25, 1921, she was one of eight children of the late William O. and Adelaide C. (Fuller) Merritt and had worked at Western Electric until her retirement.

Natalie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family always had center stage and there was not anything that she would not do for them. Throughout her life, whatever she did, it always included family. She enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, and trips to Atlantic City. She loved people, was very engaging, and everyone she met became a friend.

Her survivors include her son, Chester M. Dunn, Jr. and wife, Brenda and her daughter, Marilyn J. Eaton and husband, John, all of Salisbury; her four grandchildren, Darlene Reynolds and husband, Keith, Julie Lovejoy and husband, Kenny, and Scott and Kevin Dunn; five great-grandchildren, Alec Dunn, Kory Mitchell, Saida Natalie Lovejoy, Craig Guilmette and Bryan Reynolds; and her great-great-grandson, Talon James Guilmette. She also leaves behind two sisters, Lucy M. Imbimbo of NJ and Maybelle Hamel of NH, along with several generations of nieces and nephews. Natalie was predeceased by her grandson, Derek Dunn and four brothers and one sister, Ralph, Alfred, George and Frank Merritt and Adelaide Wilcox.

Her positive attitude and her true love of life will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Monday, February 17, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury. Springtime interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac, will be private and there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Lawrence, MA 01843.

He was the beloved son of Susan and Lawrence Cavalieri, and brother of Julia and Anthony Cavalieri of Newburyport. He was born in Northampton, Mass. but lived most of his childhood in Newburyport. He attended Newburyport High School, earned an Associate degree in Political Sciences, and was just finishing his Bachelor’s degree at the University of San Francisco. He was particularly proud of his work in the Legal Aid Department, and was a liaison for their program of matriculating former inmates into college to better their lives.

    Boxford, MA — Robert Reynall Way, 84, of Boxford, passed peacefully at Kaplan Hospice House, Danvers, on July 11. He was born in 1930 in Claxton, Ga., to the late Otis C. and Mildred (Burkhalter) Way. Although a son of the South, throughout his life, he proudly called many of our country’s cities and small towns his home. Intellectually gifted, multi-talented and highly educated, he attended Wesleyan Conservatory of Music at Macon, Ga., and Capital University, Columbus, Ohio, where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Music. He also received a master's degree in Theology from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus. He furthered his doctoral studies in psychology while attending Boston University. He had careers in broadcasting, the Lutheran Ministry, musical composition, and orchestral conducting, teaching and psychology. Robert’s passion spanned his many interests, and he was regarded by all who knew him as a true Renaissance Man. He was a devoted husband and a doting father, who was truly selfless and gave of himself freely to family and friends. He was loved by all and his peaceful presence will be greatly missed.

    Georgetown, Newburyport, MA — Lillian O. (Lindley) Kelloway, 98, of Bennington, Vt. and formerly of Newburyport, and Georgetown, passed away July 9, 2014 in Vermont. Lillian was born Aug. 21, 1915 in Orleans, Ind., the daughter of the late Mirt and Amy (Gahan) Lindley. Lillian worked side-by-side with her husband of 70 years, managing Kelloway’s Dairy in Georgetown under the slogan “You can whip our cream, but you can’t beat our milk.” The dairy was in operation for 35 years, and together, Lillian and Ross became an enduring force of goodwill in their community, and beyond. Always an active member of the Georgetown Congregational Church, Lillian regularly provided flowers for the altar and served on the Women’s Guild. Lillian was also a longtime member of The Rebecca Lodge. She is predeceased by her husband, Matthew Ross Kelloway, and her son, Matthew Ross “Mark” Kelloway Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Marcia L. (Kelloway) Hindle of Shelburne, Vt., Amy E. (Kelloway) Tronsen of Bennington, Vt., and Jane L. Kelloway of Amesbury, Mass. Lillian was affectionately known as Nana to 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Gladys Fife, Lloyd Gilbert, James Lindley and Margery Ross as well as sister-in-law to Albert Kelloway and Ernest and Ann Kelloway of Georgetown. A matriarch of the highest order, she has been a source of undying support, grace, and love for all who had the good fortune to know her.

John spent most of his life working in the construction industry as a project estimator/manager. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching sports especially football and hockey. John was also a longtime youth hockey coach.
