Natalie G. (Merritt) Dunn

Haverhill, MA — Natalie G. (Merritt) Dunn, age 92, longtime Salisbury resident, died Tuesday afternoon, February 11, 2014, at The Oxford in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Chester Morse Dunn, who died October 14, 2007, and to whom she had been married 66 years.

Born in Plaistow, New Hampshire, August 25, 1921, she was one of eight children of the late William O. and Adelaide C. (Fuller) Merritt and had worked at Western Electric until her retirement.

Natalie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family always had center stage and there was not anything that she would not do for them. Throughout her life, whatever she did, it always included family. She enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, and trips to Atlantic City. She loved people, was very engaging, and everyone she met became a friend.

Her survivors include her son, Chester M. Dunn, Jr. and wife, Brenda and her daughter, Marilyn J. Eaton and husband, John, all of Salisbury; her four grandchildren, Darlene Reynolds and husband, Keith, Julie Lovejoy and husband, Kenny, and Scott and Kevin Dunn; five great-grandchildren, Alec Dunn, Kory Mitchell, Saida Natalie Lovejoy, Craig Guilmette and Bryan Reynolds; and her great-great-grandson, Talon James Guilmette. She also leaves behind two sisters, Lucy M. Imbimbo of NJ and Maybelle Hamel of NH, along with several generations of nieces and nephews. Natalie was predeceased by her grandson, Derek Dunn and four brothers and one sister, Ralph, Alfred, George and Frank Merritt and Adelaide Wilcox.

Her positive attitude and her true love of life will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Monday, February 17, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury. Springtime interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac, will be private and there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Lawrence, MA 01843.
