Salisbury, MA — Al passed on Monday morning at the age of 76 after a 13-year, courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Johanna (Yanacek) Page. Born in Amesbury, Mass., he was the son of the late Edmund and Gertrude (Malenfant) Page.
Al retired from Lucent Technologies as a tool and die maker, and retired after 20 years of service in the National Guard Army Reserves. He enjoyed playing golf, camping, playing horse shoes, working in the garden, and working on his home. He also enjoyed restoring his '37 Ford.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind two sons, Albert Page and his wife, Monica, of Methuen, Mass., Brian Page and his wife, Fonda, of Merrimac, Mass.; one daughter, Cynthia Page of Exeter, N.H., two stepchildren, Judy Grabowski and her husband, Mark, of Derry, N.H., and Laurie DiPietro and her husband, Jason, of Bedford, N.H.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Claire Carroll, and Linda Abraham and her husband, Joseph. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille.
ARRANGEMENTS: His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 19, at 10:30 a.m., in the Star of the Sea Church on Beach Road, Salisbury. Burial will be at a later time. Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, September 18, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend Street, Amesbury, Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence, MA 01843.
