AMESBURY — Mary Virginia "Ginnie" (Murphy) Mosher, 87, of Amesbury, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. She was the wife of Edward J. Mosher, Sr.
Born in Missouri on June 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Viola (Audrain) Murphy and attended Normany High School in St. Louis, MO. Ginnie was trusting and gregarious, always striking up a conversation with anyone she met. She enjoyed playing bridge, and always looked forward to the annual travel trips around the country in their camper, a tradition that spanned decades up until 5 years ago. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought immense joy to her life.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Beverly Carstairs and husband David of Salem, NH; two sons, Paul Mosher of Newfield, NH and Edward Mosher, Jr. and wife Rachel of Gilford, NH; six beloved grandchildren, Scott Mosher, Ryan Mosher and wife Stacie, Moriah (Mosher) Burgess and husband Kris, Jeffrey and Sarah Carstairs, and April (Carstairs) Soucy and husband David ; four beloved great-grandchildren, Juliet, Hennessey, Tyler & Brody Mosher; two brothers, William Murphy and wife Emily of MO, and John Murphy of Idaho, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Wilkinson and two brothers, James and Joseph Murphy
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury will be Wednesday, November 23rd, from 9-10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at Holy Family St. Joseph Church, School Street, Amesbury.
