Wilfred Joseph Beauparlant Jr., 69

Newburyport — Will J. Beauparlant, 69, husband of Carol J. (Fanaras) Beauparlant, passed away peacefully at his home on Nov. 30, 2012 surrounded by his friends and family after a two-year battle with cancer. He was a fighter right to the very end. Born in Newburyport on Sept. 4, 1943, he was the son of Ora L. Beauparlant and the late Wilfred J. Beauparlant.

He was a proud lifelong resident of Newburyport. He graduated from Newburyport High School in 1961. He then served his country from 1966 to 1970 in the United States Air Force, and was a proud veteran. He was involved in local youth sports during the 1980s and 1990s coaching in both the Pioneer and Senior League levels. He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved traveling to many college football stadiums across the country. He also enjoyed trips to Florida with his wife and family. Will was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family unconditionally. Will was a very well-known master carpenter and worked 40 years in and around the Newburyport area. e had many, many friends and could light up a room with his smile and sense of humor. He was one of the most compassionate people one could meet and he affected so many lives through his kindness and hard work. He will be deeply missed by many.

In addition to his wife Carol of 48 years, he is survived by his three sons, Jason and his wife Kristin Beauparlant of Amesbury, Brett Beauparlant of Newburyport, and Jed and his wife Christie Beauparlant of Newburyport. He has five grandchildren, Cade, Callie, Cole, Reese and Parker. He is also survived by his mother Ora L. Beauparlant, his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jack Rogers of Salisbury, his brother and sister-in-law, George and Mardee Beauparlant of Newburyport, and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Belleville Congregational Church at 300 High St., Newburyport.
