Lawrence — Margaret “Peg” M. Kenney, 85, of Lawrence, died December 10, 2012 at the M.I. Nursing/Restorative Center in Lawrence. She was born in Lawrence November 23, 1927 to the late John L. and Aldea (Caron) Moody.
Margaret was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School Class of 1945. She was a secretary for Merrimack College for five years. Margaret was a past member of St. Mary’s Church in Lawrence and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Newburyport. She loved gardening and cooking. She also was a foster mother to children of Catholic Charities.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William P. Kenney, Sr.; a son, William P. “Lee” Kenney, Jr. of Amesbury, Ma, a sister, Mary Henning of Virginia Beach, Virginia, granddaughter, Tawnya (Clancy) and her husband Donald Ouellette of Lawrence, great-granddaughters, Skylar and Jayden, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Louise Clancy.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Twomey, LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport, Ma. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Green Street, Newburyport. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newburyport.
