Amesbury, MA — Warren Robert “Bob” Landeck, age 61, of Amesbury, died Wednesday afternoon, December 11, 2013, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, after a 5 year courageous battle with cancer. His beloved wife, Priscilla (Langmaid) Landeck, was by his side, along with the rest of his loving family.
Born in Newburyport, May 1, 1952, he was one of five children of the late William E. and Phyllis (Warren) Landeck and was a graduate of Triton Regional High School and attended Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill for two years. He was a proud veteran, serving his Country with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
“Bob,” as he was known by most everyone, worked as a machinist at Foilmark, Inc. in Newburyport for 18 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed playing darts, bowling, and was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots, The Boston Red Sox and The Boston Bruins, passions he was eager to share with his beloved grandchildren. Bob was also a longtime member of the Newburyport Elks Lodge.
Bob had a great sense of humor, loved to joke around, and his hearty laughter was truly contagious.
In addition to his wife, Priscilla of Amesbury, he is survived by three sons, Justin Landeck and companion, Breann McQuade, of Amesbury, Joseph Landeck and companion, Diane Costa, of Plaistow, NH and Chad Landeck of Amesbury; three daughters, Jaclyn Landeck of Amesbury, Calia Syvinski and husband, David, of Seabrook, NH and Courtnie Beaupre and husband, Ryan, of Ipswich; a brother, William Landeck of Salisbury; three sisters, Diane Gagnon and husband, Doug, of Raymond, NH, Vandella Hall and husband, David, of Rochester, NH and Joanne Brooks and husband, Bob, of Barrington, NH; his four grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Issabel Syvinski and Lucas Landeck, Caleb and Haylee Landeck; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: A “Celebration of Life” will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013, at 12 noon at the Elks Lodge, 25 Low Street, Newburyport. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund, Attn: Donor Services, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445.
