Falmouth, ME — Jean Pearson, 84, of Falmouth, ME, formerly of Sheldon, SC and Byfield, MA, passed away on December 10, 2013, after a courageous six year battle with cancer. She was born on Sept. 28, 1929, to Ralph and Grace Pearson of Haverhill.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Benjamin Pearson, Jr. She was the loving mother of Robin Cogan (Hub) of Byfield, MA and Benjamin Pearson (Sandy) of Durham, ME. A doting grandmother to Jeremy and Julie Lyons of Carlsbad, CA; Katie and Ryan Nugent of Haverhill, MA; Julia Pearson of Jackson Hole, WY and Jean Pearson of Mafia Island, Tanzania. Jean is also survived by four great-granddaughters, Emelie and Taylor Lyons of California and Andie Grace and Millicent Nugent of Haverhill, MA. She also leaves her brother, Hugh G. Pearson of Haverhill and several nieces and a nephew.
Jean is best remembered for her high energy and her caring nature to both her friends and family. She had a keen sense of humor and adventure. She was an accomplished artist in both watercolor and oil and hosted many a fun art show in both Byfield, MA and at Brays Island in South Carolina.
