Irene E. (Bashaw) Newhall

Seabrook, NH — Irene Ellen (Bashaw) Newhall, former longtime Newburyport resident, died peacefully at her home in Seabrook, N.H., on Monday, December 16, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joshua Little Newhall, who died in 1962.

She loved to cook, not only for her family, but also volunteered at St. Paul’s kitchen, preparing meals for Among Friends. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed playing Bingo at the Salvation Army in Newburyport, and was a longtime member of the Laurel Grange in West Newbury.

Her survivors include two sons, David P. Newhall and wife, Linda and James E. Newhall and wife, Paula, all of Seabrook, N.H.; three daughters, Marie Newhall of Seabrook, N.H., Gail A. Newhall and husband, Ken of Littleton, Colo., and Pamela J. Newhall-Brown and husband, Michael of North Hampton, N.H. Irene had five grandchildren, Kim, Craig, Sean, Tricia and Katelyn, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was truly loved by them all and they will forever be grateful for all the wonderful memories she created with them.
