Amesbury, MA — Regina Aronne passed away peacefully Tuesday at the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. Born in Westfield, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica (Chimelski) Wisniewski. She was the wife of the late Blaise "John" Aronne who passed away in 1975.
Regina enjoyed her life to the fullest. She was an avid ten pin bowler, winning many trophies. She also loved playing golf, loved bingo, horse racing, and trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. She had worked for Dunkin Donuts for many years and was active with the Amesbury Senior Center. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grand and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Virginia "Ginny" Chatigny and husband, Robert, of Hampton, N.H.; her sons, Thomas Aronne and his wife, Andrea, of Medfield, Mass., and Michael Aronne and his wife, Victoria, of Cranston, R.I.; her grandchildren, Vincent April of California, Anthony Chatigny and wife, Sarah, of Billerica, Mass., Crystal "C.C." Rurak and husband, Thad, of Amesbury, Jarod Aronne of Medfield, Mass., Tyler Aronne of Boston, Mass., Eric Aronne and wife, Shawn, of Cape Cod, and Christina Schemeds and husband, William, of Cranston, R.I.; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob and Blaise Chatigny, Olivia Rurak, and Timothy Aronne. She was predeceased by 7 siblings.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., in Amesbury are Monday, August 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held at a later time.
