Helen F. Galenski, 91

South Deerfield, MA — Helen F. Galenski, 91, of 54 Eastern Ave., died on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Mass., with her family by her side. She was married to the late Edward A. Galenski, who died on Jan. 9, 2004, after 62 years of marriage. She retired in 1985 as cafeteria manager from Frontier Regional School, and was a member of the Polish American Citizen's Club, and a communicant of the Holy Family Parish, both located in South Deerfield, Mass. She loved watching the Red Sox and Boston Celtics, and loved to cook and continued to do so until her death. Her greatest love was her family that included her daughter, Barbara Pulaski of Newburyport, Mass.; son, Edward A Galenski Jr. and his wife, Charlene, of Shutesbury and South Deerfield; five grandchildren, Karen Liebert and her husband, Blake, of Salisbury, Mass., Mark Pulaski and his wife, Annie, of Swampscott Mass., Justin Galenski and his wife, Meagan, Jonathan Galenski and his girlfriend, Jennifer Yankowski of South Deerfield, and Lauren Galenski of South Boston; seven great-grandchildren, Luke, Lillian, Isabel Pulaski, Zachary and Kendall Liebert, Ashlie and Tyler Galenski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was so happy to see her two grandsons, Justin and Jonathan Galenski, purchase her family homestead to carry on the tradition of farming, which was such an important part of her life.

The family would like to thank her many friends and relatives who frequently visited her, shopped, and took her on outings. A special thank you is extended to the NeuroScience ICU unit at Mass General Hospital in Boston, as well as the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers for their wonderful medical support and comfort to the family during this difficult time.
