Sieb was recognized as a doer in many charitable, civic and church organizations. He was proud to have been a Dana Farber blood platelet donor with over 150 donations, as well as a non-relative match to their patient of the year. He was a longtime Easter Seals swim instructor for disabled children and adults. Sieb received the coveted MSP Bull Dog Award for his fundraising for Children’s Hospital, and volunteered for many years at the WBZ Farm Stand fundraiser for Children’s Hospital. He served as District Deputy for the Knights of Columbus Council 231 in Newburyport and was a member of the Fourth Degree. In 2013, he was recognized for his Diaconate work by Cardinal O’Malley and awarded the Cheverus Medal. For many years, he prayerfully attended the Right To Life March in Washington, D.C. Sieb was a private pilot and flew out of Beverly Airport.
ARRANGEMENTS: Arrangements are by the Twomey–LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport. His wake will be held on Thursday, March 27, at Immaculate Conception Church, Green Street, Newburyport, from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Vigil service will be held from 7:30 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m., at the same location. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Newburyport.
