Salisbury, MA — Patricia M. (Learned) Sarao peacefully passed away Tuesday, April 16, at Wingate in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family, following a fearless battle with Alzheimer’s disease and breast cancer.
Pat was born in Lynn, Mass., and devotedly raised her four children in Salisbury, Mass. She had a vibrant spirit and was well known as a hard worker, always striving to make co-worker’s tasks easier. She greatly enjoyed working at Margo’s Restaurant, The Hungry Traveler Restaurant, and the Salisbury Beach State Reservation, in Salisbury. Her many friends knew her from her always sparkling smile, and her kind and easygoing manner. Her compassionate and generous nature shone forth after marrying Charlie ‘Mugsy’ Sarao and taking loving care of him for more than 10 year,s with her family’s support through Alzheimer’s. Shortly after losing him, Pat was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s herself, and was devotedly taken care of by her four children and grandchildren.
Pat enjoyed the simple things in life, such as gardening, music and taking drives along the coast with her family. The special light in her life was watching her grandchildren grow up, spending time at her children’s homes, vacationing with family, playing with the family pets, and girl’s nights out with her daughters and friends.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who cared deeply for others and easily made friends wherever she went. She was a hero to her family and her memory will forever be etched upon many hearts.
She is survived by her four children, Laurie Bradbury, of Salisbury, and her husband, Arthur Bradbury, Dwayne Cyr, of Seabrook and his loving partner, Cathy James, Patricia (Patti) Pattow, of North Hampton, and her husband, Jeff Pattow, and Marianne Cyr, of Salisbury, and her loving partner, Joseph LeBlanc.
