Salisbury, MA — Daniel Knowlton Weiker, age 94, of Salisbury, former longtime Newburyport resident, died Monday morning, May 6, 2013, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. He was the husband of the late June L. (Stevens) Weiker.
Born in Medfield, June 9, 1918, he was the son of the late William F. and Helen F. (Sleeper) Weiker. As an expert silversmith, he had worked more than 40 years at Towle Manufacturing in Newburyport, crafting all kinds of exquisite silver products sold throughout the world.
Mr. Weiker also served with the National Guard for 29 years.
His survivors include his three sons, James W. Weiker and wife, Michelle of Colorado Springs, Colo., Wayne A. Weiker, and Bruce E. Weiker and wife, Donna, all of Salisbury; daughter-in-law, Terry of Merrimac, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: By request of the family, services and burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newburyport will be private. The family also requests that flowers, as well as donations, be omitted. Arrangements are by Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green St., Newburyport.
