Lorraine B. Dodier, 83

Amesbury, MA — Lorraine B. "Pee Wee" Dodier, of Carver Street, passed away peacefully Monday at Maplewood Care and Rehab with her family at her side. She was born in Amesbury and was the daughter of the late Hermenegilde and Marie (L'Aitre) Boivin. She was the wife of the late Edward Dodier who passed away in 1997.

She had worked at CBS Hytron of Newburyport and subsequently left to raise her family. She loved to knit, visit with friends, do puzzles, and travel around the U.S. and Canada. Her last days were spent at Maplewood Care in Amesbury where she quickly made numerous friends with the staff and other residents because of her ability to make them smile and feel good.

She is survived by her two sons, Larry Dodier and wife, Darlene, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and Donald Dodier and wife, Kim, of Hampton, N.H.; two sisters, Blanche Fortier of Somersworth, N.H., and Pauline Gosselin of Kingston, N.H.; one brother, Joseph Romeo of Port Charlotte, Fla.; four grandchildren, Kalina, Stephanie, Kara, and Kyle Dodier; and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She was sister of the late Philip, Francis, Rosaire, Leo Paul Boivin, Stella Gosselin and Cecile Courcey.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish Church, 2 School St., Amesbury. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery in Amesbury. Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury, are this Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Port Family Services, 4 Middle St., Suite 213, Newburyport, MA 01950.
