Byfield — Mrs. Virginia Marie (Wise) Miller, age 92, of Byfield, died peacefully on Sunday March 10, 2013 at the Seaview Retreat in Rowley, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Steve E. Miller.
Born in Elko, Nev., she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Constance (Miller) Wise. She was raised in Wisconsin and has lived on the North Shore since 1986.
Virginia had worked as a file clerk for the Veterans Administration in Milwaukee, Wisc., and also for the AC Spark Plug Division of General Motors. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses, knitting and shopping. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Constance Rowe and her husband, Paul; two grandchildren, Paul and Kevin Rowe, all of Byfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Angelus Wise, who died during the Bataan Death March during World War II, and of Jack Wise.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (RTE129), Lynn, followed by a funeral mass at 9 a.m. in St. Pius V Church.
