PLAISTOW, N.H. — Mr. Thomas Kenneth Connelly, 85, of Plaistow, N.H. and Ft. Myers, Fla., formerly of Salem, beloved husband of 59 years to the late Shirley E. (Hunt) Connelly, passed away surrounded by his family, following a brief illness Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Leo E. and Margaret E. (Duggan) Connelly. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. He continued his education graduating from Boston College and Salem State College.

An honorably discharged veteran, Ken served his country as a member of the United States Army Air corps during World War II achieving the rank of Sergeant.

Mr. Connelly had been employed as a manager for the General Electric Company at its West Lynn Facility until the time of his retirement. Ken and his wife were longtime residents of Salem, prior to spending twenty one of their retirement years together in Ft. Myers, Fla. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. Ken, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ken is survived by his devoted four children, Catherine Connelly of Haverhill; Thomas Connelly and his wife Kristin of Amesbury; Elizabeth Knowles of Salem and David Connelly and his wife Marlene of Lynnfield; his 11 grandchildren, Kevin Salvo, Karen (Salvo) Nigrelli and her husband Tommy Nigrelli, Kristen and Kaitlin Salvo; Ryan and Rachel Connelly; Casey and Sarah Knowles and Matthew, Aidan and Joseph Connelly and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Anne Nardella of Salem.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Square, (at Salem Common), Salem, Friday at noon followed by his funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Salem at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Francis H. Finneran died Tuesday, February 07, 2012 at the Kindred Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Newburyport. He was the son of the late Patrick and Genevieve (O’Connor) Finneran of Ashland, MA. Francis leaves his wife Mary G. (Wallace) Finneran of Newburyport to whom he has been happily married to for 5 years. He was predeceased after 56 years of marriage by his first wife, Elizabeth M. (Burke) Finneran of Newburyport who died in 2006. He was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Parish of Newburyport. Francis attended Ashland schools then joined the Navy and served during World War II in the South Pacific. After the war he went to Bentley School of Accounting in Boston where he received his degree in Accounting. He worked as an accountant for the New England Telephone Company for many years. After retiring he worked in real estate as well as for the Immaculate Conception Parish in their business office.
