Largo, FL (formerly of Amesbury, MA) — John W. "Jack" McKinnon, (73), of Largo, FL, passed suddenly on Oct 25. A humble man and devote Catholic, Jack retired after 27 years as a graphic artist from the Portsmouth NH Naval Shipyard. He was a passionate fan of all Boston sports teams, an avid pen and ink artist, and also enjoyed creative woodworking.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Nally); son, Sean and wife, Holly, of Newburyport; daughter, Galen of Newburyport; stepson, Paul Nally of Dorchester; and four grandchildren, Jordyn, Adam, Patrick and Bree. He also leaves a sister, Joan Chouinard of Beverly; twin brother, James and wife, Sonia, of Newburyport; brother-in-law, Arthur Cochrane of Fort Lee, NJ; sister-in-law, Patricia Johnson of Largo, FL; and many devoted nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, Douglas and Beatrice (Gourley); sister, Dawn and husband, Raymond Saunders; sister, Vivian Harlow; Sandra McKinnon; and brothers-in-law, Norman and Daniel Cochrane.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Nov 9, at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 9 Sparhawk Street, Amesbury. All are welcome to attend.
