Amesbury, MA — Robert W. Dwyer, son of the late Robert J. and Thelma (Colby) Dwyer, passed away Tuesday at Amesbury Village. He was born and raised in Amesbury and was a graduate from AHS.
He played baseball for the Amesbury Pony League and Amesbury High School. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969. He went on to become a machinist and worked many years at EMC of Amesbury. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by three brothers, Richard Dwyer, of Norfolk, David Dwyer, of Haverhill, and William Dwyer, of Lempster, N.H.; one sister, Connie Platschorre, of Wyoming, Mich.; and his former wife, Jeannie Conti.
ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside services will be held this Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. in the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Amesbury. Arrangements are by the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral in Amesbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Amesbury Village Resident Fund, 22 Maple St. Amesbury, MA, 01913.
