Amesbury, MA — Robert Frederick Drew Sr., 78, longtime Amesbury resident, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, September 2, 2013. He was the beloved husband of 49 years of the late Phyllis T. (Moore) Drew, who died on February 10, 2007.
Born on May 20, 1935, he was the son of the late Raymond F. and Winifred (Fitzgerald) Drew. He was a graduate of Amesbury High School.
Bob, who was a retired Amesbury firefighter, was also an avid carpenter, and enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance of Amesbury.
He was a devoted husband, caring father, proud grandfather, and dear friend to many.
His survivors include his two daughters, Michele M. Eggleston and husband, Brian, of Raymond, N.H., and Marcy L. Berry and husband, Lewis R., of Amesbury; his son, Robert F. Drew Jr. and wife, Pamela, of Salisbury; his three grandchildren, Robert F. Drew III, Jennifer Drew and Michele Farley; his brother-in-law, William Moore Jr.; and several, nieces, nephews, a cousin, and an aunt.
Although his journey on earth has ended, he has left behind a legacy of treasured memories that will never be forgotten.
ARRANGEMENTS: By request of the family, there will be no visiting hours and interment will be private.
