Byfield, MA — Selma Louise Robinson passed away on Wednesday, August 28, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Mass.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph P. Carberry and Silvia (Lawrence) Carberry and the wife of the late Albany County Legislator Earl J. Robinson. Selma was employed by the New York Telephone Company in Ellenville, N.Y., and after moving to Delmar, N.Y., was Secretary of the Delmar Methodist Church for 10 years where she was a member. After retirement she divided her time between Schroon Lake, N.Y., and Zephyrhills, Fla., where her parents resided.
Selma is survived by her sons, James H. (Patricia) of Byfield, Mass.; Thomas C. (Wendy) of Altamont, N.Y., and John Scott (Eric) of Arlington, Va.; five grandchildren, Erin Robinson and Zachary Bemis of Altamont, N.Y.; Ian Robinson of West Hartford, Conn.; Megan Parsons of Winchester, Mass.; Jill Brien of Groveland, Mass.; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sue Ellen Creeden of Odessa, Fla., and her sisters, Silvia Carberry of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Eleanor Vos of Santa Barbara, Calif.
ARRANGEMENTS: In accordance with Selma’s wishes, a family memorial service will be held at the Central Congregational Church in Newburyport.
