Harold (Sonny) Parents 3rd, 51


Pittsfield, ME — He was the eldest son of Harold and Florence (Morrill) Parents Jr. He spent his childhood years in the Boy Scouts and was awarded his Eagle Scout pin prior to graduating Amesbury High School, class of 1980. He served in the U.S. Army as well as the U.S. Navy from 1980-1986, and exited with an honorable discharge. He married Robin Morehouse August 5, 1989. He was known as a clam shucker. He spent many hours talking and laughing about old times. He attended two colleges that excelled him in his academics. He loved learning and researching anything he found interesting. He was also a member of the Mount Kineo #109 Masonic Lodge in Guilford, ME. He was a D&D gamer. He taught his children never to cheat in life. Sonny was also an avid bowler for most of his life. He met a great bunch of bowlers over the years. He is survived by a son, Bryan Parents of Pittsfield, ME and two daughters, Sarah Parents of Bangor, ME and Shannon Parents of Pittsfield, ME; a brother, David and wife Tricia Parents of Epping, NH, as well as two sisters, Deborah Davis of Exeter, NH and Denise and husband Ricardo Alves of Amesbury. Sonny was an uncle to Jeffery, Ian, Olivia, David, Lindsey, Emily, Rico and Charlie. Also survived by many dear friends and their children whom he loved as family. As well as his four-legged companions Cookie, Chimmy and Katie. Predeceased by a daughter aydon and several aunts and uncles. He knew his greatest accomplishments of his life were his children. He believed you were measured by the lessons you learn, the fears you conquer, the pride you set aside and the love you give unconditionally. He led by example to be faithful, honest and show integrity to not be vengeful but seek justice. He gave forgiveness and earned respect. He was by no means a perfect man. Just a man we were destined to love.
