Amesbury, MA. — Cecile Boucher, a longtime Amesbury resident, passed away peacefully at the Maplewood Care and Rehab Center. Born in St. Leonard, Quebec, Cecile was predeceased by her loving husband, Antonio, her son Paul, as well as several brothers and sisters.
She worked at Biddle & Smart and Merrimac Hat Shop, before getting married and raising her family. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and cooking. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Parish and St. Anne's Sodality.
She is survived by her 3 children, Robert Boucher and his wife Marie of Marlboro, MA., Maurice Boucher and his wife Suzanne of S. Dennis, MA., and Lorraine Giordano and her husband Gene of Salisbury, MA., 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Cecile spent the last 12 years of her life at the Maplewood and her family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the wonderful care and love they gave her.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral mass for Cecile will be held this Saturday March 2, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Holy Family Parish Church, 2 School St. in Amesbury. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours and memorial donations may be made in her name to the Maplewood Care Residence Fund, 6 Morrill Pl., Amesbury, MA 01913. Arrangements are by the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St. in Amesbury.
