Amesbury, MA. — Peter Skovron Jr. passed away on Sunday at the Kindred Rehab and Nursing Center in Newburyport. He was the husband of Linda (Bergeron) Skovron. He was born in Amesbury and was the son of the late Peter Sr. and Olga (Tropilo) Skovron.
Peter was a great husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend to just about everyone in Amesbury. He worked in insurance after college, then found his true talent in carpentry and construction. Many homes around town have a touch of Pete's workmanship in them. Peter loved to fish, camp, and entertain the guys at the Polish Club with his many stories. Above all, he loved his family and had a true best friend, his dog, by his side.
Besides his wife Linda, he is survived by one son, Derek Skovron of Malden, MA, one sister, Sandra Ray of Ipswich, MA, one brother, Ronald Skovron and his wife Theresa of Newton, N.H., his two grandchildren, Natasha Skovron and Nicole Skovron-Filostin, 3 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Timothy Skovron.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held this Friday, March 8 from 11:00 am to 12:00 followed by a service at noon at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home 118 Friend St. in Amesbury. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Northeast Animal Rescue 347 Highland Ave. Salem, MA. 01970.
