Joseph Y. “Roy” LeBlanc, 85, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Newburyport with loving family at his side.
Mr. LeBlanc was born in Lynn on October 2, 1926, a son of the late Camille and Gertrude (Gauvin) LeBlanc.
Roy was raised in Lynn and Saugus, MA. He married his wife of over 64 years, the late Theresa (Roy) LeBlanc and the couple settled in Saugus to raise their family. He was a self-employed painting contractor in Lynn for many years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Saugus. He loved college football and was a sports fanatic. Roy was a simple, hard-working man who loved spending time with his family, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a proud WWII U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived his daughters, Doreen Sullivan and her husband Kevin of Salisbury and Jacqui O’Hearn of Seabrook, his 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and his brothers, Armand LeBlanc of Florida and Frederick LeBlanc of Lynn.
ARRANGEMENTS: At Roy’s request, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the New Hampshire S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885.
