Salisbury, MA — Edward J. “Mickey” Lynch, age 89, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his devoted family. He was the loving husband of Madolyn (Searle) Lynch.
Born in Beverly, August 23, 1924, he was the son of the late Richard and May (Mecklenburgh) Lynch.
Mickey was a building contractor in the local area. He was also active in his community, serving on various town boards in Salisbury. He was a Boy Scout leader, and a member and past president of the Salisbury Lions Club. Mickey and his wife loved dancing and were members of the Old Town Squares. He enjoyed many family camping trips. He was also an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
In addition to his beloved wife of 66 years, Madolyn Lynch, he leaves behind two sons, Barrett Lynch and wife, Kathleen, of Southwick and Ronald Lynch and companion, Kerry Fitzpatrick, of Salisbury; a daughter, Valerie Ryan and husband, Christopher, of Salisbury; six grandchildren, Timothy Lynch, Erin DeAngelis, Alyssa Lynch, Kaela Lynch, Devin Parr and Kellen Ryan; five great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother, Madeline McAskill, Catherine Morin and Earl Lynch, along with numerous nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Evelyn Andrews, Richard Lynch, John Lynch, Mabel Callahan and Mary Byrnes.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at the Highland Street Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury, will be Sunday, November 24, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the East Parish United Methodist Church, Salisbury, followed by burial in Long Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.
