Exeter, NH — Mary Alice Moran, 87, died peacefully in her home on Friday morning, September 6, after a brave battle with Parkinson's disease.
Adoring mother and a devoted wife, she is survived by her six loving children, D. Casey Moran, James P. Moran, Mary Ann Morse, Michael J. Moran, Maureen Ouellet, and Kathleen Lauchlan. She is also remembered by her grandchildren, Shauna, Jessica and Ryan.
Mary was born on August 26, 1926, to Dennis and Norma Magner of East Greenwich, R.I., and was the eldest of five children. A graduate of Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I., Mary began work in the Office of Special Investigations in Westover, Mass., where she met her husband-to-be, Donald P. Moran, a veteran of the World War II, and to whom she would remain married for over 40 years, until Donald’s death in 1991.
After years of Air Force travel, Mary and Donald settled with their family in Exeter, N.H., where Mary worked as a nurses' aide at the Eventide Home. She was also active in a number of women’s clubs and committees.
Mary leaves behind a wealth of treasured memories to all who knew her.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine Street, Exeter. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 12, at 10 a.m., at St. Michael’s Church, 9 Lincoln Street, Exeter.
