Salisbury, MA — Carole C. Lord, age 79, of Salisbury, died peacefully Wednesday evening at her home surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Born in Lowell, Feb. 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Marjorie (Ridings) Lord. Carole served with the United States Navy for 21 years and after retiring from the Navy in 1978, she worked as a medical laboratory technician in both Florida and New England.
Carole was an avid golfer and had a lifelong passion for the beach. She considered herself very fortunate to live within walking distance of the beach. She also enjoyed dining out and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her dear friend, Janice Moe, of Salisbury; her cousin, Dean Eastman, of Andover, along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her lifetime of dedication and service to others will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, April 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green St., Newburyport. By request of the family, there will be no visiting hours.
