NEWBURYPORT — Dr. David Paul Kolman, of Newburyport, died on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 39.
Dave was the loving husband to India (Moore) Kolman and adoring father to Lauren and Daniel. David was the cherished son of Paul and Janet Kolman of Newburyport. He is also survived by his sister, Lee Ann (Kolman) Griggs and her husband Brian of Abington; his cousin, Scott McIntyre and his wife Shari of Alton, N.H.; in-laws, Gary and Terra Moore of Georgia; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and countless friends.
David was a 1988 graduate of Newburyport High School, a 1989 graduate of Bridgeton Academy, a 1994 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, and a 2001 graduate of Life University in Georgia. He was a licensed and practicing chiropractor in Massachusetts.
David "Big Daddy" was most happy when surrounded by close family and friends keeping everyone entertained with his quick wit and incredible sense of humor. Being the son of a football coach, David grew up with a passion for football. He loved playing at NHS as well as URI. He enjoyed watching the games with friends and passing on his love for the game to his children. He was a simple man who needed only the love of his family and friends to feel fulfilled.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral Mass on Friday, Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m. in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Green Street, Newburyport. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 7 at Twomey-LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport.
